Thanks Mimi, but it was pure luck as I wasn't paying attention. Sometimes just things happen right. LOL

I am following the color scheme in the book with vintage fabric I inherited.  Seems so blah next to all of yours but here it is

Elizabeth,

Your block is not blah.  The green fabric looks so bold.

This one looks so easy, I'll probably do it first, just to get back into the swing of things.  Everyone's looks great.

Well ladies I have tried everything you have suggested and them some but can not do the Augusta.  I had to let it go.  I was getting so fustrated.  So I decide to not make it a totally failed weekend I would do this one.  I will spend the rest of the evening knitting.

You can always go back to it later.  Sometimes letting a block rest for a while helps with the outcome.  As we progress through this project, you will pick up so many tricks that near the end you will probably wonder why you couldn't do it earlier!  That has happened to me.  I love all your fabrics, especially this print.  Good luck and save a few "stinkers" for a later date.  Some days I have wanted to throw everything across the room (and have) and stomp out of the room (have done that also)!!!!!

You are so right Marsha!  Sometimes I leave a block for a week, just to cool off from it.  Got two done today, but alas, camera need charging again, so no photos ...yet.

Loving the deep rich green in this one, Elizabeth. Your quilt is going to have such a regal air to it.

Augusta does stretch your skills but I'll bet you'll come back and do it perfectly.  This block is so pretty with the flowers.  Nice job, Jeanette.
