Thanks Nana.  I did make sure not to sew into any of the seams when attaching the three final pieces together.  I don't know if that made the difference or not.

Maybe I could make another one on the weekend and post the steps as I do them?  Would anyone be interested in that?  Although I can't guarantee I'll have the same results again.  LOL  LMK

Mimi, if you are willing, that would be so appreciated. I can't get past the first step of the block.

I made this block today and didn't have much trouble with it (sorry to all those who've struggled with it). I cut my pieces out with the templates, but first i cut the "ends" off of template B, I just cut it straight 1/4" from the seamline, instead of having those long pointy ends. I'll take a photo and post it later if I get time. Another thing that would help is to put a dot on each triangle where the seamline ends, that would help with the lining up I think. Once you get the A and B pieces sewn together, the rest is easy.

Ok, got the photos. You can see here how I trimmed template B. Also where the pink dots are, mark those spots on you fabric with a pencil, also mark the 3 corners of template A. Then when you are joining A and B, poke a pin through the dot on one piece and line it up with the dot on your other piece. I think that will help you with lining those pieces up properly.

Both of your blocks are wonderful Jacy.  And what a super job explaining things.  I didn't have that much trouble with this block either.   If everyone would follow your directions about template A and B things would work out very well.  Glad you could take time out of your busy schedule to make things easier for all.  Thanks for your help.

Jacy fantastic blocks.  Your explanation is perfect.  I think I just got irritated and decided I had enough.   So just cut my pieces into two pieces...LOL

Darn, I guess I'm going to have to try it again.  I don't want to be a complete failure.

Thank you, Jacy.  Although it is still far from perfect, my latest attempt looks much better, and I don't think I will be trying this one again.

Jacy, I think this is going to work. Thanks for the visual. I'm now marking the dots on pieces B and C. They actually line up.
