Susan, your block is so pretty!

Here's mine:

I may do it over to cut the blues so the flower part of the stripes are centered.

I like the blue and green in your block, Nana. Very nice together!

Carol, you can do as you like but I think it looks beautiful just like it is. JMHO.

This one may have to be done over .... at a later date of course! I'm still struggling with getting the "quick" Flying Geese to turn out correctly.

Roxana, I also didn't like this method for the flying geese.  I am going to try it one more time and then go back to my usual tried and true method.  I prefer having the size exactly perfect.  All the scant seams throw me off a little and by the time I get to the end, it's never right.

Is anyone else having difficulties with their blocks coming out on the small side?  I will have to redo a few or decide to make them all 6" (5.5" finished)

Roxana, I know what you mean.  I don't do them this way as I can't get them to "fly" either.  I just figure out how big the goose has to be and add triangle corners.  Can't teach an old dog new tricks but I have tried to do the easy method over and over and just can't get it right.   Guess it's just not easy for me.

If the blocks are coming out too small, your seam allowance may be too big. Try measuring it again. Sew three 1.5 inch strips together when you're done the centre strip should be one inch.
