Thanks again

It doesn't take much to get your scant 1/4" seam.. with most machines you just have to move the needle over a few points. Then voila! Save that stitch into memory and you're always ready to piece.

I can't say enough about this machine. It's the first computerized machine I've ever owned and I'm so glad I made the investment almost 2 years ago.

The Janome 7700 is a front runner in my quest for a new sewing machine. I am an inexperienced FMQ who is not particularly co-ordinated. I'm hoping that the larger harp will help. How do the owners of this machine find it for FMQ? And how accurate is it for !/4" or scant 1/4" piecing. I need a mark or a foot to sew a straight seam. lol

Hi Leslie. I love my 7700. I don't do much piecing with it as I do that on my older Janome but for FMQ it is fantastic. I have so much room, just finished a double size quilt and had no problems swinging it around under the throat. I know there was some problems early on but they sent us out a new 1/4" foot and that seems to be fine.

looking at a new sewing machine

The Janome 7700 is a front runner in my quest for a new sewing machine. I am an inexperienced FMQ who is not particularly co-ordinated. I'm hoping that the larger harp will help. How do the owners of this machine find it for FMQ?
