I'm here Barbara. I have a 6600 and just gave my Magnolia 7730 to my granddaughter. They are both great machines. I will try and post a picture later.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love

Ok Spud, Looking good . Barbara
Here is Janine :)
Very nice MzA, I've never seen this one.
This is my new machine as well. I think her name is Ruby because of her colour and my birthstone. I have another Janome that I will take a picture of and post. It is a Janome 8080 sold only by Sears and I believe is the same as the Janome DC3050. My husband surprised me with it for Christmas in 2004 and at the time was much more of a sewing machine that I been planning of purchasing. It has been a good machine and the one option I miss is being able to move the needle as it is slightly off centre so sewing the 1/4" seam for quilting is more difficult. I do enjoy the Horizon 7700 as it has a large harp space and is great for FMQ. Leslie from Vancouver Island
Is the Horizon, the 7700 with the large throat space? It is hard to tell from the picture.
Yes Barbara. The Horizon7700 is the machine with the large throat space. I purchased mine last April and now Janome has released the 8900 that has a few changes. One change is the 9mm feed dogs so the feet from the 7mm feed dog machines won't fit. That means buying new feet. I really like my Ruby and particularly chose a machine with 7mm feed dogs so I'm not interested in upgrading. That's a good thing, because can't really afford it anyway-lol.

Here are mine.
The top one looks very familiar :). Is the bottom one a machine to take to class, what model it it?
Sheri's bottom machine is a 3160 http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/Machines/Sewing-Quilting/3160QDC I bought one for my 14 yr old Granddaughter earlier this year. I wanted to give her my 1998 model simplicity fashion plus, for her quick sewing, but hell she had a time understanding the mechanical machine so she got the new one. Yes to answer your question is weights on 12# so perfect for classes. Barbara I just tonight found this group while subscribing to another group. WOW there aren't many people here, and this is a new discussion?. So I post my 'big boy' and list the rest.. lol Janome MC10001 on it's riser & it's new sister in layaway a used MC11000SEI also own two sergers one a Janome and one a companion to my Simplicity. My pride and joy is a vintage SuperNova Ultra Necchi the very machine I learned to sew from my Mother purchased in 1957 with cabinet, now in my home.

Caryl Anne,
Your Necchi is a beauty! What a treasure.
You have a very lucky granddaughter! She has a generous grandmother :)
Spudgrandma: The top one looks very familiar :). Is the bottom one a machine to take to class, what model it it?
Spud,
Caryl Anne answered which model it is and, yes, I bought it to take to classes and quilting group.
Thanks for sharing Caryl Anne. I gave my 9-year-old granddaughter the Magnolia a few months ago. Your GD looks like she is having a good time.
