Here is a picture of my wonderful machine. I got her in 2011 and this girl is a work horse if there ever was one. I use for for everything. I even gave her a name . she is known as Mimi.  She is a 6600 memory craft and  she is just the best.

Here's Julie and Julia!  Julia Janome 7700 came to live with me 11 months ago and we've been very happy together!  She's named after Julia Child.  Julie Janome DC2012 arrived a month or two ago.  She's named for Julie from the movie "Julie and Julia". It just seemed so appropriate to do so :o)   She'll be filling in when Julia goes for her annual cleanings and when I go to retreats or classes.  So far I'll we've done together is a test drive to be sure she works.  I've been sewing some HSTs recently and LOVE the automatic plate converter feature on Julia!

MzA, it's a wonderful table but it's too high for my short body, 4' 10".  I bought it at the same time I bought Celeste and paid full price for her at my dealers.  Actually don't know how much that was.  If you are interested and you do some research on it and PM me how much you would be willing to pay for it, I'd let it go for the right price.

WOW! ladies I love all your machines. Lots of 7700 out there ,maybe some day I will trade up but right now my Mimi does a great job.  What are your favorite features about your machines ? I know we all have some.  Mine is having a bigger throat space  since I am doing a lot of FMQ. I love my auto cut feature and I like that I can unplug my foot pedal and use the on and off button which comes in very handy for machine applique.I just love everything about my Janome.  LOL  Barbara

Hello everyone. I joined some time ago but have not been on the site in a while. I have a MC9000 and the 1600P. I really like the Jamone machines. I have been trying to learn to use the 1600P on a quilt frame but am really having trouble with my quilting skills. I have decided to take the machine off the frame and learn to FMQ moving the fabric instead of the machine. I still use my MC9000 for piecing and tried to FMQ but could not figure out how to set the tension on the bobbin so I would not get an ugly stitch on the back. I would really like to find some more of the embrodery cards for the MC9000. Since this machine has gone obsolete the cards are hard to find.

I am new to this QC group.   I have a older Janome 4000 and am wanting to upgrade.  I find that FMQ has limitation on the 4000.   Presently am considering  either a Janome 6500/6600  or a Bernina 530 but the Janome seems to be in my price range. Do you have any recommendation on which machines to test drive?  What do you like about the Janome you own?

Thanks

Bonnie

Hi, I own two Janome's out of the 4 machines I have and they are the only two I use. I have a Janome 9000. Love it!!   But I just recently spoiled myself and bought a Janome MC 11000 SE it came with tons of extras which was nice as well.  Are you looking for a new machine or one with low miles in fantastic condition.  I personal feel the most comfortable with these machines. They give me what I want, and I tried my friends Bernia and just could not get used to it. You will have to test drive what is most comfortable for you.

Julienne,

I plan on checking into both new and used..  The Bernia dealer is in Barrett, Mo. but I am not sure where a  Janome dealer is located in my area.

Is there a Janome dealer in Jeff City?

Thanks

Bonnie
