EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I love what you have done with the first three blocks. Can't wait to see what you come up with for this one.
Denise Smart
thanks Denise , I'm still working it out in my head ..
Hi Barbara, I just read my daily tangle email, which was for a Voga, and the Voga referred to a PUF tangle. I think the PUF might work in block #4.

What do you think?
Denise I'll have to go look at my mail ,I get the tangle mail as well just havin't looked at it yet ,I'll check and get back with you .
Denise I did go and looked at the Tangle and the example they gave ,I think this can be done ,I may pratice this on paper and try it on a scrap to see if I can do it , I'll let you know how it comes out .

I have been practicing drawing the PUF on paper too. I love the fun 3-D effect. I had the best luck drawing it if i do the "X" in step 4 before I do the echo curved greek key in step 3. The trick is to travel back down the "X" a little bit as you spiral in. If you don't travel back down a little, the arcs flatten out and become square. I can make each square as one continuous line. I have to break thread or travel stitch out along one x branch to start the next square. Fun way to fill.
Denise ,I agree ,I got it on the first try , but I need to pratice on fabric before I try the block. I hope to get to it in the next couople of days. very intresting. Barbara
Hi all I'm running a day late as I had guild meeting all day today. I will be getting this taken care of on Tuesday. Barbara
ok every one here is block #4. I used a modified verson of a zentangle pattern call Puf, I will have to go back and look for the designers name . and then I just SID and then did half moons on the other squares .I think it came out pretty good . If you are not aware of what Zentangle is go to this web site ,they have lots of designs that can be used in quilting .www.tanglepatterns.com .Here is my block.Barbara
Just beautiful. I love the effect of the change in texture between the half moons on the hour glass blocks and the PUF blocks. They look beautiful together. I like your PUF block better than mine because you do not have the "x" in the center. How did you do that (not have the "x" in the center?)
Denise , thank you ,you did a good job on yours pattern I like the results. On my Puf I did not put the spiral box in mine I just didn't care for it .

I love this one Barbara. WTG.
Denise,
I like your block. You're doing a great job.
Barbara, your block #4 is another beautiful pattern. You keep outdoing yourself each time. Anyone want to make me some sandwiches to practice on, I'm just too lazy, darn it!
