Ok ladies ,I tried to do some of the things you mentions , even though the blocks are not real quilt blocks . I put together some scrap fabric and made a blocks to show how to stitch around it to make the block pop out some ,and then did a meandering stitch around the blocks . I think you will understand the photos, so have some fun relax ,take a deep breath and go for it .. these were very easy to do .. Barbara
Here I just did some more practice on my vines . I think they are getting better , pratice ,pratice ,
this is a stencil I had and traced it on my fabric ,then I added some dragon flies in the corners , this patten can be used in a big empty block and is just an idea for something you can do .
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Thank you Barbara. Beautiful work on the examples! I haven't used many stencils - the one that I did a while back was my first one (the one with the cat).
Thanks again Barbara, great tutorials!

Barbara,
I love it. Great feathers and I really like the dragonflies.
thanks Ladies I do my very best.. Barbara
You are quickly becoming a master at this. I would have never thought to echo in free motion. It looks really good. Your feather is amazing and I love the dragonfly design. Thanks for all of your efforts.
Barbara, even though I have not been able to be an active member the example are great that you provided and this one is the best of all and shows the great progress you have made in FMQ. To watch how you have grown in FMW has been fun to watch and I hope to soon move to an active member. Sheila
Thanks Stephanie and Shelia, I appreciate your kind word. Barbara
Here are my practice pieces. I have been practicing each day and starting to see some improvement.....
Sheryl, wow these are good ,did you do all the leaves in the background as well , if so they are great, keep at it and you get this down in no time. Barbara
Very nice Sheryl. Good job on the feathers.
Thank you Kris and Barbara. The background is all FMQ. That was from the craftsy class with Angela Walters. I am not very good at the swirls but it will get better as I practice more. I was just trying out the paisley leaves and really liked it. I have been forever practing the plumes and feathers so I think that might be why it went ok. I did a lot of drawing on the white board for feathers, including in my sleep - LOL
Sheryl, I really like your paisley and swilrs ,I really need to pratice them more, You did great on yours. I love them..Just keep up the great work. Barbara
Sheryl, very nice work! Love your feathers and swirls, it does pay to practice each day, you are proof of that.
