Oh how fun Barbara. I like the fabric and design in that last one. Your feathers look awesome and I like the loops. You're getting better at the curves. WTG.

okay, I waited yesterday for the post but I guess I was to early. Didnt see it tell this AM. Had  a lazy day,and talked on the phone with family, as my aunt isnt doing to well over in Idaho. They were going to put some stents (?) in but decided it wouldnt work so she is just about ready to come out of surgery from having a triple heart bipass surgery. She really isnt that old. (she was the baby, well one of them, she is a twin in the family) She is only 63. Anyway I did start just playing with some material. When I played the other day I had to cover my dogfeeds but then found the plastic cover. It sure was different using it. Seemed harder to move the material around. Anyway the first pic was were I started. Tried my luck at a feather I saw on line but I couldnt really remember how she was doing it. All the rest I was having trouble with the tension ( I almost think is was the thread), kept wading up on the back or the thread would break. The last was no focus on quilting but just messing with that dang tension, and seeing what happens if I turn way this way. I did have contrasting thread orginally but when it ran out I just added the thread that was on the spool. I also learned that I can not fill the bobbin with the plastic guard on the dogfeeds so I did learn something. DH is going to make me a plexiglass extension table for the machine, that should help too

Tami,I think it looks great, you just need pratice which we all need , I see you could do a stippling just make it alittle farther apart , your loops look good , and I'm proud of you for  tackling the spirals , keep at them and you'll have them down in no time at all , I'm still trying to perfect them myself. I think you are doing great , Barbara

It looks good to me Tami!  Here's one of my recent attempts:

The bottom, middle seemed to be the easiest to me, that's what I did on the borders of Teddie's quilt.

Tami and Marie, Great job! I am sooo jealous. When I packed to come to Lawrence, I didn't pack anything to practice on and haven't been able to go to the store to get anything, bother! : ) I hope to correct that this weekend! Melody
