You have a very beautiful quilt.  I really like your border.  The light colors really makes the blocks stand out.

It looks so different with the light background and borders. Was that your plan from the beginning or did it just happen? I'm still trying to decide on sashing and cornerstone colors.

Great job.

Gwen, I didn't think about sashing till I had most of my blocks done. I thought the one in the book was dark and I wanted mine lighter.

Jacy - your quilt is stunning.  I too am struggling with all of the brown for sashing/border.  I may do something similar to yours to lighten mine up as well.  What was the finished size of your quilt??  Did you use 2" finished sashing?  I love the border on yours as well.  I might do piano keys....if not too busy looking.  :)

Jacy, what a beauty this is, your sashing and borders are a perfect color to make your blocks really stand out.  Great job!
