Just looked at the first 5 squares and can't wait to start this. This is going to be so much fun.

Come on all you sitting on the fence! These are small and you can do them in between other things. The more the merrier and you can't go wrong with Nana leading the troops.

Diane

Thanks for the vote of confidence......    I will continue to try to post cutting tips with each block.  I hope it helps.

I can't wait to get started either, I already pulled a handful of scraps from my stash ready to start. I want to start now but I have a quilt that needs to be finished by next Friday. I have blocks pieced, now to sew them together.

Thanks Nana for the cutting sizes, our blocks will go together in no time!

Hurray, my book came today. Now I need to look in my stash and see what I can find. I am excited about this, I've never done a sampler and I am somewhat scrappy challenged as some of you know. LOL!

I asked my friend if I could borrow her book, Well that gave her an idea of what to get me for Christmas, so that's what I'm getting.lol She has decided she is going to follow along with us, So guess what I'm getting her. A subscription to QCA, she doesnt know it yet. LOL I have been trying to get her to join since I first joined.

Ladies

For construction of the blocks I highly recommend a scant 1/4in seam allowance.   Please pay close attention to your seam allowances.  These blocks have lots of pieces and being a little off on the seams will make a huge difference.   Hope this tip helps.

What a nice idea! maybe you can get together for sew-ins and sew together on some of the blocks. And a new member to the family of QCA. How cool.

I really, really, really hate writing in a book. It somehow seems like I am defacing a book by writing in it. I'd like to keep all of Nana's cutting directions for each of the blocks that we do but I don't want to write it in the book. What are you all doing? Are you printing out the directions for each block as Nana gives them to us and keeping a notebook or are you adding them to your book?

Diane, I am writing in my book as well. I am not drawing a moustache on the author's picture, LOL, I am adding needed information. So I do not feel like I am defacing the book. I don't have to worry about losing a notebook with my notes in it this wasy.
