Post tips, techniques, and pics here.

Template #6 and #6R     Use templates.  Make sure fabric is right side up when cutting.

Nana, now I'm getting scared seeing "use template".   Nice block.

Thanks everyone.   Kim it really isn't as difficult as it looks.  And actually goes together very quickly.   Especially if you remember to have all your fabric right side up when you cut the template pieces.  I made the mistake of folding my fabric to cut and then had to recut 2 pieces of each template....like duh.

Marie

The templates really aren't that much of a problem.   I print mine on computer paper and cut them out.  Then I use flathead pins to pin them to my material and then lay my ruler over the template to cut the pieces.

Sounds easy enough Nana, but I won't go there until I need to.  LOL

I just picked out all my fabrics for the 5 blocks and I'm excited to get started, but I won't have time to cut and piece until next week. I'll be checking in and seeing what you all are doing.

Nana--

The bold paisley is a great contrast in this block.  Good choice.

Thanks Joyce.  I have had that fabric for quite sometime and hadn't found the perfect block to use it in.  I really like this one.

Nana, love this one. I never think of using brown and black together until I see them together.
