To guys, gals, dogs, cats and all. I have made a major decision. I'm going to have to put FWS on the back burner as far as priorities. I'm still going to follow along and write down all the instructions and tips as the new blocks are released. I simply do not have the time right now to keep up with the group so I will do these on my own as time permits. I don't have the time to follow along with all the postings. I have a ton of year end work and tax summaries to get  ready for the accountant for the business. I have to get back into painting for orders placed prior to Cmas. I have so many UFO's that I really want to get finished. I want to finish Jodie's BOM. I'm in the birthday block groups. I want to continue doing Quilt for Kids...one a month if I can. I have the Patchwork Party quilt which is needed by April. I have bitten off more than I can chew again. I really want to get good at QAYG and I'm still learning the QuiltCut2 which I love.

I'll still be here in spirit til I can get caught up.....I'll just be naked in show and tell squares for a while.

Leslie :

Thats why we love Nana, she always makes it easy for us.

. . .and a great big THANK YOU, Nana. Having never made a pieced quilt before, I bought this book a few months ago, but was stumped on how to make it.  Now it's finally a work in progress :)

Oh, I'll still come out to play! I have to do that to keep me sane. I'll still be here and reading and you know I can't not comment, especially when you give me so many openings. I just can't take on making the quilt right now. I'll do it at my pace when I can. I can't keep up right now with so much going on.

Diane, I will miss you, But I understand. Just so long as you don't go MIA, like some of our friends do.

Kathy

Welcome.   First of all I absolutely love the quilt in your avatar.  I don't think you will have any problem catching up with these blocks.  They all went together really quickly.  If you check the threads for each block you will find cutting tips if you don't want to use templates.

I just checked the members list since we have had several new people join our group.   We are up to 123 members....that is fantastic.  I wish to welcome everyone and hope that you share pics of your completed blocks and quilts.

Diane, I absolutely understand what you are saying. It is so easy to spend tons of time on QCA and never get any quilting done. I have decided to not try to read every singel thread here because of the time involved. I am also not doing the shop hop again. It was fun, but took so much time. When you have to work, or have lots of family responsibilities then sewing time is limited. I was getting frustrated about not getting much done. I am going to continue to do the FWS, but am going to try to be careful on making too many commitments. I'm like you, I have things I want to get finished. I am getting sick of MQ2, lol. So, will look for you when you see you.

Kathy, welcome to the group, I like you am determined to get this project and the Dear Jane at least going this year. this one has been great fun so far. Nana has been a great help with breaking it down so we don't have to spend valuable time looking at the CD. Look foward to seeing your blocks and hope you will enjoy as much as the rest of us seem to ..Barbara

Greetings everyone. I just bought the book and am ready to start. I plan on cutting the templates. Are you also sewing the pieces by hand?
