I am SOOOO excited about this!  I loved the swap last time!  I did make a couple changes to the process this time around so that everyone that makes a set gets a set in return.

Pillowcase Exchange

·         Each participant will prepare one set (2) pillowcases with spring-themed fabric.

·         Fabric

o   Fabric should be good quality fabric (if you can find good quality fabric somewhere other than the LQS, feel free to use it)

o   Avoid religious themed fabric

o   Avoid large weave/homespun fabrics

o   Flannels and novelty fabrics are welcome!

·         Pillowcase Details

o   Each pillowcase should fit a standard pillow

o   The set can be coordinating or matching

·         Pattern suggestion

o   If you use the hotdog or rolled pattern, the body is 27” with 9” for the coordinating strip and 3-4” for the accent

o   This pattern has the French or hidden seams

o   Please try to make sure that your seams are finished nicely so that the set will wash well.

·         Pillowcases should be mailed to Susie by March 10th

·         Susie will gather all the pillowcases and redistribute a set to each participant.

·         Please place your set in a ziplock bag with your name/address on a slip of paper inside the bag.  This is for ease in sorting to ensure that you don’t get your own back.

·         Include a self-address postage-paid PRIORITY MAIL envelope with your package.  If you fold them correctly, they will fit in one of the envelopes

o   This will ensure that you receive your return set to the address you specify.

o   Save your tracking number on the return package so you can watch for it.

o   By shipping to Susie, everyone that sends one in is assured of receiving a set in return.

·         Sign up will be open until February 1st.

o   There is NO limit on the number of participants

o   If you choose to make 2 sets, please make sure that each set is in a separate ziplock—and that they are different. Please do not make 4 cases that are all the same.

o   Once the signup is closed, you will have 1 month to make/ship your set.

o   When you have provided Susie with your information via PM, your name will be added to the list.

Absolutely!  Please do sign up!  With the site being so fussy lately, I'm going to toss it out on the FB page as well.  You can sign up on either place.

Susie,

Is it OK to use lace, piping or other decorative edging as the accent piece?

I don't see why not...as long as they are machine washable.

We are fine with signups.  The more the merrier, but we can work with the small group we have so far.  We are at 10 sets as Kathy wants to do 2.  I'll toss it out there on the general thread as well, just to see if we can drum up some more interest.  But we have LOTS of time yet before we mail.
