We'll send 24 fat quarters to Phyllis and she'll send us 24 back --- just not the same 24 we sent her! That's the way I think it works!

you will pick out your fabric and cut your FQ, you should have two different fabrics .we ask that you bundle your two FQ's so that you will have 12 bundles with two FQ in each bundle . you then ship them to the hostess with a return self address and prepaid return envelope for her to put your FQ in that will be returned to you . you will get in return 12 sets  this will include one of the sets you sent to her.WE really do enjoy this and it work well. The only thing  we ask is to make sure you use good quilt shop quality fabric  and you make sure your FQ's are cut at 18X22 in , correctly. It is also a good idea to put your bundles in a Zip-lock gallon bag to protect them incase the package gets damaged in shipment.  Most of us use  the PO flat rate shipping envelopes as the cost is better for all of us.

I hope this helped explain this type of swap to you ,they are not all done the same . This is a Fat Quarter swap so this is usually how this one is done. All the information is given to you on the first page of the swap .  Barbara

With the website being so crazy,  I need everyone to go to the list on the first page of this string and make sure your name is on the list.  I have 11 people listed, we only need one more and I don't want to leave anyone out!

I looked and you still have 11 but wouldn't you think it was safe to start cutting fabric? I do but wanted another opinion before I dove in!

I think I'm on there - with 3 Debbies now, I stay confused as to who everyone is talking to - Debbie-do, Dear1953(me) or the new Debbie.  We really need someway to distinguish us apart.  Ya'll can use DEAR for me - that's my initials.

Phyllis:

This number of fat quarters is a little more difficult to get into a flat rate envelope, but it can be done if you use the traditional fat quarter fold and some extra tape.  Put your fabric in a plastic bag, zip lock or fold over, and put your name on the bag.  Please send a stamped pre-paid and addressed envelope for your return fabric.

What is the traditional FQ fold?

Hi Phyllis

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you Iwas at the hospital with my Father all day he was having surgery, but I am on the list you just spelled my name Karrie  instead of Kerry I only mentioned it so you wouldn"t think it was two different people.

Thanks again for hosting
