©       Layer cake swap!
©       Each participant (max of 12) provides 12 packages of 2 different oriental fabrics.
©       Double ups are allowed, but only if there isn’t enough interest for 12 people to play along. Anyone doubling up must send in different fabrics from they first selection.
©       Swap closes July 13, or when full.  On July 14, if it’s not full, then current players can opt for a second different set.
©       Packages:  Place each set of cakes into a ziplock baggie with your name on (or in) the baggie.  Put all 12 baggies into a larger baggie (added protection when shipping).  Send the package to Sue, WITH a return postage envelope.
©       Mail date is August 1.
©       Packages to be returned by August 15, sooner if all packages have arrived.
©       Send Susie a PM with the tracking number when you mail your package.
©       All players need to send Sue a PM with your name, mailing address and email address in order to be included in the swap.
For each yard of fabric, you can get 12 layer cakes with a bit of leftover for your scrap pile, so you only need 2 yards to cover different oriental fabric. Make certain you are sending genuine, 100% cotton, oriental-themed fabrics.
Robert Kaufmann has awesome oriental themed fabric.

Susie, sign me up. I'm definitely in. And I think if we get the numbers, we can do two. Advertise it everywhere you can think of on the boards. I'll send you my information.

Went to Charlotte N.C. for a visit and found some cute Oriental fabric in a little shop called Qbee's.  Nice little shop and the lady who worked there was a sweetheart.  Also got a few extra items for my stash.....as long as I was there...:D

Now to get them ready to cut and send.  Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.  Happy Fourth!!

OK Ladies!

Swap is closed.  Since there are only 7 of us in the swap, we have extra fabric!  You only need to send 7 packages, not the original 12.  If you have them all ready to be mailed, and all 12 are in the package, I will make sure to send the extras back to you.

Watch your EMAIL for my mailing information.  I'll be sending it out shortly!

WOOHOO!   Fun stuff, ladies!  I can't wait to see the beautiful fabrics!!

Would you like for us to send more than 7 different fabrics? I am happy to send extra if you want. I can cut more. I meant to participate twice but the closing date snuck up on me.

Susie:  I sent the 12 that I had already cut, just in case someone decided to double up at the last minute.  I kind of had to send out Monday because I already had my shipping label printed out.  So...you can send me back the extras...hope I didn't cause any confusion.

Tami--I got your package!

I finally found my fabrics on Friday!  In 5 quilt shops, only 1 had oriental fabrics...but they were worth the wait!  I think they are magnificent!  (Can I just say again how much I really love the Robert Kaufman prints?)

How are you doing, ladies?  I did receive one more package, but I'll be danged if I can remember who it came from...it's at home and I am not!

Mail date is coming up end of next week.  Do you have your fabrics picked out yet, or are you still shopping?

As a reminder, we are only 7, so you only need to sent 7 sets of the 2 different fabric layer cake squares.
