I have both and have not started so just tell me which you need to fill the groups.  I read it as basic, simple, solid white but I think that was due to earlier communication prior to posting the opening of the swap sign up.  looking forward to seeing all the pretty stars,  Kathy G.

Judi,

I hope that you are still up.... Please look at the responses. I've edited my post with each one. What do you want those of us who can go either way to do? Those with White on White have their fabric. I have white on white fabric too. Mimi has a good point about the white on white adding more texture to the quilt but at the same time resting the eyes. Let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!

I need to hear from you regarding the white on white or solid white...

Thanks!

To me White on White is plain white, as in no other colors are on that fabric.

I don't mind if I get a mixture of solid white and WOW fabrics in the blocks.

Also I don't have anything cut yet, so I can do either.

Melody, you are correct. You got me to thinking back on something Barbara said in the HST swap. I think it was good advice then and it is good advice now. Such a very smart woman she is...!!!

She said, and I quote, "Y'all have to stop making things so hard ,, " KISS " everyone.  this is suppose to be fun not college 101 LOL    Barbara"

SOOoooo, let's just let everyone do what they want to do. I agree with Jacy that white on white or solid white... The two mix well. Mimi, don't recut. Everyone finish their blocks the way you understood the introduction and let's forget this discussion. After all, as Barbara said, "this is suppose to be fun."

Let's have some fun!

got my pieces all cut out last night and ready to sit and sew, when I get a chance.  bought enough blue and white fabric that I'm thinking on making the Diamond Star, reversed for my backing.  I think I have enough fabric to do it, definitely enough of the blue, white is iffy.  I'm liking the Blue and white.  I'll post a picture later of my test block.
