MNnancy:

This is the kind of quilt I'm hoping to make with my HSTs - in fall fabrics, of course.  It's a pretty straight-forward pattern - there's just one block.

The more I look at this the more I like it, too. Where did you see the pattern? It'll be great in fall colors which I am finding I like more and more.

I don't mind either way.  I was thinking about joining the first group but it filled up.

I don't have my fabric yet, but will be looking for it this week while on the retreat.

I just realized where I had seen this pattern. It's called "Tickled Pink" and is on pages 56-58 of the July/August 2013 McCalls Quilting magazine which should be still on the news stands now in your favorite craft store or book store. I think we shared the link on the other group.

I'm glad you came up with that because I couldn't remember where I had found the picture.

Thanks Roxana, I watched a couple of videos on making the HST's this am and I think I can do it ok.  I joined a new quilting group for me last night and one of the ladies said she would teach us a easy way to make them at the next mtg. next month.   I wrote some notes from the video and I'm going to do a practice run.  I think this will be fun.

Hi again Roxana & everyone.  you know this 2nd HST Fall swap is going to make me go fabric shopping again.  (shucks)  I don't have anything fall in my stash.  Oh well now where are those car keys?

What a perfect reason to get out! I love to fabric shop! I've also found that I love these fall colors. Have fun and welcome again to the group!

Roxanna,

I see we are starting to recruit more members from the first group.  I think people are starting to figure out that to make a quilt similar to the "Tickled Pink" shown on the last page, you need 500+ HSTs.

SO I NEED MORE HSTs!!!  I could sign up for a second slot in this group, but that wouldn't achieve much - I wouldn't get more variety of fabrics.  Could someone in the first group be moved here so that I can add my name and be in both groups?  I suppose I should post my request in the group #1 discussion...  Okay, heading over there now...
