My stitching is done..the pressing almost done.  Just need to cut off the dog ears and make sure they are all squared up.  The triangulation paper doesn't require much squaring up, but I'd rather check them all and make sure!

Should go out tomorrow!

I know it's not Sept 4 yet, but how close are we getting to having all the HSTs collected?  I'm getting SO ANXIOUS to see what we have to work with!  It's not fair, Roxana, that you're getting to see them all.  We should have suggested that you leave the packages unopened until they all came in.  LOL

How about some hints? ....   Do you think they'll work with something like that Depression Block quilt or do we need to start dreaming up something that can handle extreme scrappiness?

Here's a link to one I found on flicker that is very scrappy.

.... Other than opening them, measuring a few, and counting the bags, I really don't remember what's there. They've been coming in since the middle of July. We've FIVE sets to go! SOme of those are in the mail.

HINTS: ..... I can tell you that some of the lights and darks are not much of a contrast but that's really not that many AND some of the participants stuck with their original plan of sending 15.

Hope that helps! ...

Thanks, Jacy, for the scrappy HST option.

I think I'm going to try Kim Diehl's quilt for mine.

Oh, Jacy, you are very naughty.  You have just introduced me to the wonderful world of Flickr.  I've known of it but have never really explored it thoroughly.  I share enough photos on my other social networks.  But now I see what a blessing this is to QUILTERS!!!  There's a whole grouping of nothing but HST quilts!  So now I've joined that "club" too, and I'm "following" the HST group.   Wow!

We've learned a lot with our first HST swap.  Obviously we'll want to be a little more stringent with the light background requirements next time.  Wouldn't it be fun to do a polka dot with whites HST swap?
