I had taken an EQ7 class at QU last year. This is one of the first ones I did trying to learn EQ.
Rockeeann, this is a great design! Simple, but effective and elegant. I truly love it! I live in a valley with lots of bald eagles too. Would you mind if I use your basic eagle block to modify a background suited to my locale?
Please use it any way that you would like! I'd love to see what you do with it. Have fun with it. :)
Donna, I was just thinking. We should try to come up with a design for a couple of trees full of them. We have a few areas that "house" quite a few at a time. It's not unusual for us. How about your area? Too bad we can't add the sound they make.
Around here, the eagles usually are sitting in tree snags either near the river or sometimes the highway. (Just waiting and watching for their next meal to come along.)
But, that is a good idea... a tree with bare branches on the top and a few green swatches for splashes of greenery here and there on the tree. I was thinking paper-pieced, but fused, free-form would be good too! Maybe with the eagles soaring in sky behind? Hmmmm
I have yet to try paper-piecing. There was a class offered that I really wanted to take because I loved the pattern but was unable to attend. Guess I'll need to break down and just take a class. I like your idea for a "group picture".
