I finished up blocks 4 and 5 today , not real happy with #5, I Had a lot of trouble lining up the outer block . made my blocks smaller just trying to align them.
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
WTG Barbara. Pretty blocks.
I know now why I was having so much trouble with my blocks lining up ,I have all my corner blocks turned the wrong way. LOl guess I'll ripped them out and resew them maybe it will look better ..
Oops. glad you found the problem. I still haven't looked at block four. Hoping to get to it soon. I'm up to my eye balls in mystery quilts.
My life has been turned upside down this week. My son ran into some of life's problems and had to move in with me in a matter of days. That meant that I had to pack up my sewing room and another bedroom for them to move into. My garage is full of their stuff and my stuff, forget about the car. LOL Yesterday I spent going through my fabric, getting it in totes and piled in my room, I couldn't bear to put it in the garage. I have one machine set up so I was able to make the first block. I can't get a picture right now. I need to be able to sew as it is my therapy so I can at least be making blocks. I am really happy that I was finally able to get started.
Pat ,I'm here to tell you that seems like a lot of us are taking in family. the way things are going it may become the normal .Most folks just can't do it on their own anymore . Yesterday I went grocery shopping and noted bacon is now up to almost 6.00 a package. and I noted so many things have gone up We are all going to have to be multi -family homes if this keeps up . Glad You were able to get some sew time in. Barbara
I went back a corrected block #5 looks better . I 'm still not happy woth it . but I have a limited amount of this fabric so it will have to do .. Barbara

Pat. I totally know what you're going through. My daughter and 2 grandsons ages 4 & 2 moved in for a while waiting for her husband to be discharged from the army. They be with us for a while as neither has jobs right now. My sewing room is now gone. My stash is in various closets and machine in my bedroom.
Hope to get it back soon. But on the bright side, love having those babies around.
Barbara.
