I am so grateful for these old posts to refer to for help and ideas, and in particular, Kris, your J-5.  I tried doing this one the traditional way with set-in "Y" seams -- which are the bane of my existence -- and it was horrible.  I even hand-pieced it -- since doing Y seams on machine is absolutely out of the question for me!  So.  I like your method I think, and I am going to try it next.  After such an easy-peasy J-4, it hardlly seems fair for me to have to break back in to working on DJ this way.  That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Hi Patricia, It's good to see your posts this AM. I too am glad for the old posts as well. I only wish the site didn't default to two months of posts. I'm sure it looks like there's nothing there to new visitors.

Finally accomplished this one with the method Kris posted - thank you Kris!  It was a tough one.
