I cut my center square 4 1/2". Folded it on the diagonal both ways to press a crease to help line up the applique. When I was done with the applique I trimmed my block to 4"

Last one. I'm actually beginning to enjoy needle turn applique. Never thought I'd say that.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Glad to hear you're beginning to enjoy needle turn applique! I haven't tackled this block yet. Yours is beautiful!!!
This fabric looks sort of brown in the photo, but it really is the most beautiful shade of olive.
Am I the only one not hand-appliqueing these? You guys' hand-applique all look so nice. Is it really hard? Thinking I may want to try it next time. I know we have plenty more applique coming up -- sooner or later -- probably sooner ........
Judy and Patricia you both have beautiful blocks. Judy love your blue fabric. Patricia your olove green is very pretty.
E2 Merry May! JAS
