Does anyone have a Dear Jane quilt they have started, or one you have been planning to start?

I'm going to get this group going again in January, so tell me where you are at, any ideas for the group as far as assignments, etc.

I'll get a photo up shortly of all my blocks I've made so far.

Kris I was trying to figure out how to set this up, any suggestions? I know there is an old list of assignments, should we work with that, assign a certain # each week or 2 weeks. Since we are all at different places I'm open to ideas on how to get this group working together.

Jacy,

I think we could build on what was already assigned. I like two week intervals. They seem to work well. There were some duplicate in the assignments so that might need to be cleaned up a bit if they haven't been already.

Hi Kristine, We're happy to have you work on it with us. It's always more fun to do it together, we help and encourage each other.

I only have about 30 done so I'm not much further than you. Someday here when I get  a minute I'm going to get a photo of my blocks all together and post it.

Woohoo Gini, found your blocks AND your book, you are doing good!

And a need to go fabric shopping, that is never a bad thing!

Thank you for the welcome note.

I look forward to seeing your picture.

Just a tip on how i have organized my blocks... I have a 3" notebook that i have filled with page protectors. In each protector, I put a picture of the block, print out of the block instructions, and then the completed block (once it gets done). oh, and the block number.

Anyone else have an organization tip?

Wow Kristine, you are way more organized than me! I have a little cardboard box, about 6" square that i have been keeping all my blocks in. Also a page with all the blocks that I mark off the ones i have done, I keep that in my Dear Jane book.

Kristine, I scan each block as they're completed then add sashing and sew them together as I go.

I can't find the ones I've done but I'm more than half way through. I posted photos of the ones I have together in my blog.

Kris,

Are you sewing them together in the same order as in the book?

I was in a Dear Jane class a few years ago and we went with random blocks.....started with the easier ones.

Kristine.
