Barbara - take your templates and set them on each other and see if they fit correctly - some times when I am working with templates they are wrong and then we cut teh fabric and whomever designed the template didn't add the seam allowance correctly -
2) - you might need to use a very scant 1/4 "... check your seams
I will print out the templates tomorrow from the software and see if I see anything with them... I'll let you know... I hope to anyway...
Thea thanks ,I 'll give that a try later today.I'm working today 10 hrs shift ..I'ts rainy and stormy here today ,so would have been a great day to do some piecing..Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I have finally gotten out my sewing stuff - almost feel back to normal today - still recuperating but really much better. the sun is shining - we had overcast all day yesterday but today a nice spring breeze and lots of sun. I worked on Cat Acatemy and have block 6 almost ready to sew the pieces in place... had to sit down - am unable to stand for more then 20 minutes at a time - but no biggy - 20 up 20 down...lol...
I do not know how you work a 10 hour shift - sending a prayer up for you to ease your way through it.
I sorted through all my DJ stuff and have the next fabrics ready to go - have to cut out the templates for I-9 today to see what is going on and any more help i can think of.
yahoo, I got these done today. I'm so beat!!! but I'm ready for this weeks now, hard to believe. So tomorrow I will finish up my applique block and then do this week's blocks.
Thanks for looking:
Rising Sun - paper pieced and applique
Chasing A Myth. Rotary cut and machine pieced. The worst thing about pieces this was the fraying and threads always in the way. There are a couple of spots but I pretty happy with it and that it measures 4-1/2". The rotary cutting instructions left out the D & E so what I did was used the full diagram and use freezer paper and cut out templates and then use them. So we can really improvise on these. The same with those bigger triangle.
Thank you for looking!
Pretty blocks Ms MoomMist. I really like the striped fabric.
MMM,your blocks came out really great ,I love the fabrics. I still need to do chasing a myth .I have been working on the FSQ for the last several days so maybe i'll try again today. I'n still haivng problems with ths block . Barbara
I finally got Chasing a myth finished , I am so glad to have this one finished , I've had more trouble doing this block, It just didn't want to work and I had to make some adjustments some of the strips were just to small and Ihad to reddo them 3 times , still can't figure out why ..but it came out okay...Barbara,
It came out great Barbara. I love the fabric you used.
My E-5. Machine pieced and the center hand appliqued.
