Another nice looking block Kris. You are going to have a beautiful quilt when it is finished.

My F9 Autumn Aster. Needle turned everything with mixed results. I think this Aster is beginning to drop it petals through lack of watering. LOL

Judy your block is lovely and very vibrant. Love the cheery fabric. Nice work on the appliqué. They don't all turn out the same when you do a lot of melons. It's part of the hand made charm. They don't look too far off.

I love your quips about your blocks.

Judy don't beat yourself up  - it is like every thing else - practice makes perfect - I love your material - so "perky"  I think needle turn is the hardest of the applique' methods - my hands just can't do it anymore - the stretching between my little finger and thumb - just doesn't work so I applaud that you are able to do it - and this block will look beautiful in your quilt!

Judy - I was trying to think of some hints that I was given by my teachers when I was hand appliqueing to keep it where I wanted the design to be - the only thing I can remember is that we used to draw the design on the back ground fabric - we used pencils but today you can use the pens that disappear with heat  - that is what I am using right now to place my pieces that I am appliqueing...

You did do a wonderful job though - just trying to help you out and hope am not overstepping my boundaries by offering the help.

Thanks Thea. I recently started using the Frixon pens, sometimes a white marking pencil. Love them.
