Applique' - utilize lesson 2 for this block

When I first started quilting I was terrified of applique' but I can honestly say it does not scare me any more.  There are many different types of applique' and almost anyone of them could be used for this block - I look forward to seeing your blocks and how you made this block!

D-8 Dee Dee's Delight - white background with sashing

D-8 Dee Dee's Delight - tan background

These appliques went real well. Didn't have any trouble with them. Won't get any more done until after Christmas. Kids should be arriving soon, at least as soon as the Freeway opens and they can get through. Will have a beautiful white Christmas though. Everyone have a good Christmas and Happy New Year.

Kathie - awesome job!  I love how the blue fabric jumps from the fabric.

Like the way you did both kids of applique. It makes the points really pop out. Great job.

Thanks Kathie. I've been doing regular appliqué for the second block but haven't had much time to work on it.

Thanks Gini,

I like it too. I think it's weird how the top fabric looks different from the under fabric even though it's the same.

kris that's because the mat is showing through the reverse applique and the seam allowance is blocking it in the others,  this is why i put a fabric behind a lot of my applique.   you can get a little color change, or even hide the seam allowance on some pieces   gini
