Yes have fun! How many bags of dirt? You'll look like you've been making mud pies all day after that I'm sure. LOL It'll be so nice to have it finished though.

I will when once I get it all together. The frame is a vintage metal purse frame. At least it was worded that the purse was a vintage art nuevo. I'll post a pic of that too. We're having a cookout today for my younger Brothers birthday so it probably won't be today, but asap.

Today is the day! The pond is drained and I'm about to go get some dirt and fill in the hole once I clear out the liner. I'm very excited not to have that Mosquito Pond in my yard anymore.

Hey, don't apologize. I like craving chicken. I ended up having turkey on marble rye with all the fixings. It was really good.

I hope your daughter is in therapy as well and doing ok. I know what you mean about the Aspbergers and social signals. I tried to ask her mom some questions about things she liked etc, but the answers were vague. It'll take some time I'm sure to acclimate myself. The family is coming back in July so little by little we'll get to know each other.

I can vouch for that too. Mike has taken them for years and years and as long as he's on them he does just fine. His aloe water has done wonders as well.

Not as bad as I expected really. It was interesting because their was a very thin cardboard strip in between the lining and outer fabric. And it was stapled together and inserted into the frame! That really surprised me, but I suppose it gave it some form and stability to slide up in there. Hopefully I'll have the same luck getting it back in as I did getting it out. LOL

Stephanie---my daughter acted OK when she stayed with me. She just took over my whole living room! And she was trying at times like she usually is. Basically she has Borderline personality disorder with some psychotic features. I am so hopeful that she is in therapy now. With aspbergers, they don't understand social signals. Your plan to do what you want when she is there sounds good.

Robin---when I got the ulcer, the doctor put me on the omeprazone and told me that I could eat anything I wanted! And he was right. He was a GI specialist. He said the meds work that well.

We stopped by a restaurant called Cheddars on the way home from the airport. Mike and I ordered the fried chicken breasts. When the plates got to the table I was floored. The chicken breast was as big as my two hands put together and there were two of them! I could make four meals out of them. LOL. And the pricing was so reasonable. Such a nice atmosphere with the large aquarium too.

After we got home I brought the purse out that I had bought for the frame and took it apart. I was able to remove it without tearing the fabric and will be able to use it for a pattern. My rr purse has officially begun. Woohoo! Last night my muse kicked in and many cq designs for it taking form. Have to go through my fancy fabrics and see what I need. Looking forward to this....

Poor Laurie! No soda. I don't think I could function without Diet Dew. Glad you didn't let the nurses comments sink in too deep. Not like you loaded a baby full of fried foods, chocolate and soda. My friends have a 23 year old son that has had coughing issues, skin issues, stomach and draggy energy since he was young. It took them years and finally at the advice of a doctor took him to an allergist. Turns out the poor young italian fellow was allergic to gluten. Pasta's,and bread's made up such a large part of his diet. I think so many times it's just being in the right place and having that certain doctor that recognizes symptoms. It's great that they have for Laurie and she's on her way to recovery.

Admittedly so. Mike's mom has an old saying that fish and company stink after three days. LOL. I've always loved company, but have to admit this was beyond a challenge for me. So many no's. I don't like that, or that doesn't interest me. I'd ask her what did interest her and she'd come back with asking me to make suggestions. She wasn't doing it on purpose, I just think her mind in emoitional behavior is like that of a nine year old. Hard to know, having the aspbergers syndrome. At least she's not prone to temper flares and loves animals. Anyway, next time she comes, I'll just be me and not try so hard. I'll come and go when I want and if she's up to joining me, great, if not that's ok too.

It must have been very difficult for you to have your daughter after a hospitalization. I'm guessing, but would imagine she'd be on new meds as well and waiting for them to kick in.
