The lattice border was a great addition.

The lattice border was part of the center panel; I didn't add it, it was all one piece. Stephanie mentioned it, also. I had to go look at the picture to see what she was talking about. I am glad you all like it.

Funny story: around the end of the year I was volunteering at the Artisan Shop where I have some of my items for sale. There is also a used clothing shop called My Sister's Closet. That particular day the "Closet" was having a 50% off day to clear out inventory. There was a pink "leopard" style fur jacket for sale. Usually short coats and jackets are $6 and I thought even at full price that would be a great investment to use for a bag or purse of some sort. It had a zippered front which I planned to use as the top of the bag and the sleeves could have been used for small, "hiipster: style bags. I took it to the register and the clerk asked me who I was buying it for because it was obvious it would not fit me (junior size and I am not a junior size). I told her my plan was to repurpose it and she told me what a great price it was. Since it was half off I only had to pay $25. I quickly put it back. Probably would have been a beautiful project even at that price but that was more than i wanted to spend at that time for something I wasn't sure I would do right away.

The jacket sold and is gone. I regret my hesitance but those who snooze, lose.

Thanks for sharing. You have inspired me and if I have another opportunity, I will probably jump in with both feet and go for it.

Really sweet quile Normajo. Love the colors and I like the maching quilting. Love the mink purse. I would just sit and stroke it all day!!

I love the cat quilt! The lattice is so cool too. Wow, it is big. What a grand project for you! You did a wonderful job.

The mink purse is adorable. I can see why the ladies would want one. Gives me ideas for that old stole of mine. Thanks for sharing it!

You can't tell too much about the quilt from the picture except how big it is.

Originally I was going to make a pillow to go with the quilt RR. But, it's just too darn pretty to make a pillow from. I'm thinking I might frame it.

Lillie---glad you got your block. Gorgeous isn't it. I am still looking at all the great details on my Under The Sea block. What plans does everyone have for your block? I think I mentioned before that my other 2 blocks are currently in RR's until June. Then I'll make a wall hanging for the bathroom----3 beautiful blocks.

I was going to make a pillow, but it's so beautiful I plan to mount it in a display case with the journal as a keepsake.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I am extremely weak. Trying to get some things done. It's so hard because I have to take long breaks to recoup. My body feels pretty beat up. Today I was able to eat a limited diet again. I have to be careful. But---I must be losing some weight! My girlfriend brought me gatorade, gingerale and greens for my babies last night. I have plenty of food. Thank God for those wonderful soups!

Unfortunately Linny we do not live close to each other. She lives in WA state and I in CO. She has been very ill and not as talkative as usual.

That's too bad. Hope she gets to feeling better soon.
