Lovely card Robin.  I saved it to my computer.  You sound as busy as ever----like I was in my 40's.

I finally finished my part on the 2 RR's I'm doing.  Will post.

Here is one of the RR's.  Pretty block--very bright with purples and reds.

Here is block #2.  A really nice Betty Boop theme.  I think my red flowers match the silkie.  And---I didn't have anything else that would match!  I did the frame around the silkie and added the fan and a matching flower belos.

Work on blocks looks so much better in person.  The camera never does it justice.:o(

Good Morning Everyone,

Dr. Lillie gets the prize.   Laurie does in fact have acid reflux and it is the cause of all the mystery in her throat.  She's one a couple of different medications to clear up the inflammation in her throat and then we'll see if they have to be a continuing part of her daily life.   Hooray!   Apparently the Doctor was super nice and very knowledgeable. Laurie and Donn both seem to like her.  Thanks to all of you for the support.

Testing went ok.  The kids either really knew it or they didn't .  Will see what happens, results of yesterday test should be back in about a week to ten days.

Diane,  I love your blocks.  Your embellishments are very nicely done.  What colors are in the blocks you sent?

Have a great Thursday Everyone,

Robin

Diane,

Beautiful work on the rr blocks. You do such beautiful silk ribbonwork.

Robin,

Yahoo for Laurie that it's something easily treatable like acid reflux. Happy to hear that.

All,

We made it to the zoo, and had a really good time. We didn't arrive early enough to spend the whole day and will save the giraffe and primate area for the next visit. My niece is self admittedly not a morning person. Ok by me, gives me some time to do my thing early. The lion roared and for the most part the rest were napping in the heat of the day, but still out where we could see them. The weather was perfect. Nice breeze and not too hot. Lucky for this time of year. I think overall she's had a nice visit. The family is coming back in July. Look forward to it..... Here's a pic of my favorite wild animal .

Wow Stephanie--such a beautiful pic of the tiger!  You got so close!   I am still learning to do ribbon embroidery and I have so much more to try.  Thanks for the compliment.

Robin--glad to hear about Laurie.  I take a pill once a day for acid reflux and it works great.  It's Omeprozole.  I can take one in the evening if I need to.  It is harmless and just stays in the stomach and does not enter the blood stream.

Have a great day everyone!

Yahoo, something simple.  What a relief, right?  Hope you have a great Thursday, too.

Diane:
 It's Omeprozole

Hi Diane,  I take Omeprozole and the ENT doctor that prescribed it for me said that I should take one in a.m. and one p.m. on an empty stomach. He also said if you didn't take two a day, you might as well throw them away; because they didn't work if you only took one a day. I suppose that is just his opinion, but I am doing as he said. I have them right on the bathroom sink and I take one the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. I have had acid reflux since I started taking them.

BTY....Your rr work is very pretty!

It's pretty cool the way they're set up. They are double fenced and then there's an area of glass that when they get close, it's the only thing between you and them. I was happy that the picture didn't reflect flash off the glass as they sometimes do. I got some nice shots of the different animals. The hyena was much bigger than I had pictured them in the animal shows. I'm picture crazy at places like that. I'd love to just go and hang out for a day just to take pictures

Linny,

She is going back today. Hopefully her flight back will be smoother than the trip here. She gets in around midnight, but I've come to learn she's a nightowl and often stays up until 2 am. That's probably why they scheduled that way. It takes her a long time to get around in the morning.

Stephanie---good that she is leaving! LOL  When my daughter has stayed here after a hospitalization, I am so glad when she leaves!  She has stayed for 2 weeks at  a time.

I had an ulcer at one point.  I was treated by a GI specialist and he ordered them twice a day, then once a day when my ulcer was gone.  I asked for it 2x a day because once in a while I need it.  I have had gastric irritation for some years and was told to take Tums until I got an ulcer.  Once a day is working for me---no more gastric upset.

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Friday!

Yes, we are very thankful for the report on Laurie.   It is certainly a long way from where we started. Right now until the inflammation in her throat goes down she has to take a prilosec in the morning and a zyratec in the evening.   They will reevaluate her in 6 weeks and if the process is working then they will continue it for 6 months and then reevaluate.   For the new 6 weeks it's no soda, no fried foods and no chocolate.   I was talking about with the school nurse yesterday who ask if she had a lot of spit up and tummy troubles as a baby.   The answer was a definited yes.  She said Laurie could have had this all of her life.   Made me feel like a dummy for about a 1/2 of minute and then I was back to just being thankful the child was ok.

Stephanie,  Great picture of the tiger.  Looks like you were so close you could touch him.    I hope your niece has a smooth trip home.

Diane, I think your ribbon work looks really nice.

Linny,  Does your weekend involve more packing at Barbs or do you have something else up your sleeve?

Hope everyone has a great day.

Robin
