My goodness, Stephanie!  This is unbelievably beautiful.  Those 2 little birds are so perfect on this block.  You have such a creative eye for design.  I love how they are set off by the black band behind them.  There must be 100's of little crystal beads on there.  Is that like snow?  So perfect for Alaskan fabric.  I have some of those little blue glass flowers on my block and they are just lovely.  I see that you embroidered in white on the yellow fabric, too.  Just beautiful.  It must have taken hours.  Robin is going to love this.  I bet it shines like the morning after an ice storm with all those crystal beads.

Here's Diane's finished block.  This was so much fun.  I wish the camera could catch the real beauty of it.  So many sparklies.  Diane, it'll be in the mail tomorrow.

Stephanie,

I am literally blown a way.   Your work is absolutely beautiful.

I am so excited about the whole block that I'm lost for words.   You all did such lovely work on my block that I am speechless.

Thank you very much.

Linny,

I love what you did on Diane's block.   The shells, the bottle and the jelly fish are so cool.  I love the coral looking beads you added to the shell area.

Diane is going to love it.

Stephanie:

Thank you Diane and Lillie.

I'd like to take credit for those lovely little birds Lillie. One day with much practice, maybe I'll be able to embroider like that. But These were appliques. When I saw them I couldn't resist the temptation to use them.

Still, you're a lucky girl that you were able to find such beautifully done appliques. The way you used the space was genius. You have a real designers eye.

Linny, your work is so beautiful. There is just so much to look at. The message in a bottle is a really nice touch. I love it.

So happy you like it.  It was really fun to work on...a lot of room for creative license.  It went in the mail just 10 min. ago.  You should have it by Thursday, maybe sooner.  You're going to love seeing it in person.  The picture really doesn't do it justice.

Thanks, Robin.  The shells are some I found at my beach that had holes in them already.

Linny,

Your creative use of elements and detail just blow me away! Love the jelly fish and babies. Using the shells and coral made a beautiful cluster, and so real. The seaweed is to die for with all the different elements and lots of sparkles. Gorgeous.

The whole block is amazing. The way every one's work went together to create such a beautiful scene.

Hi everyone

I have been sick with this intestinal flu all week.  It is horrible and I am slowly recovering---unable to eat for 48 hour straight---today I had 2 boiled eggs and chicken rice soup.  I have not had the strength to do a thing.

I did get my block today.  It is wonderful.  You all did a fantastic job!  Linny your work is exquisite!  I thank you all for such a treasure.  I will go into more detail later when I'm up to it.  I have been concerned about getting back on line to let you know what happened.  I havent been hit with a stomach flu like this for years.  I am improving.
