Robin, It's beautiful! I love the turtles. The way you placed the beads really makes them look like they are swimming. The seaweed is great. And you thought you'd need until Jan. 7.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
Diane I am especially proud that you like it.
Lillie the ribbon silks are River Silks from Evening Star Designs. I just used various shades of green to give the illusion of depth. My husband is the art teacher so he helps me a lot with color and perspective.

Robin,
You did an amazing job! Love the sea turtles and the beaded swimmy lines, and the way you curled the anchor chain. It looks as if the chain is catching on the seaweed slowing the anchor as it falls. Just stunning!!!!! WTG
I finished Linny's block a little sooner than I expected. I'm experimenting with my new camera, and haven't read the instructions yet. LOL. Hope it comes through ok:
Here's the total block so far:
Stephanie---what gorgeous work you did on Linny's block. I love the silkie and all the flowers and buttons. Truly encrusted in a beautiful way! You have added a whole new feel to the piece!
Oh, Stephanie! I'm speechless! It's so beautiful! That's an adorable silky and the way you framed it out with the lace, pearls and silk ribbon embroidery and tied it all together with stitching and tiny beads is breathtaking. Are those high heal charms? That button with the spider is so unique. I've never seen one like that before. The button cluster is awesome with the little blue flower beads around and the little yellow roses with the butterfly. Oh and all those tiny lavender beads and a little turtle and a sweet little heart charm. That's a pretty one. Now I see a daisy chain with little beads. Just stunning! I can't wait to see it in person! Your camera took good pics. They are very clear. Thank you so much for doing such a beautiful job with all the fine detail. You're a master CQ'r.
You ladies just amaze with your beautiful hand work, one of these days i am going to learn how to do this

Diane:Truly encrusted in a beautiful way!
Thank you Diane. Brought a happy tear to my eye having you say that. I liked the way the pink dressed fairy is looking up toward your bouquet and Lillie's flowers.
Linny t: I'm speechless!
I'm so thrilled that you're happy. That's what has made this RR so rewarding.
I tried to add a little of everything you have said you loved the course of mentoring us. Vintage, beads, crystals, victorian, feminine, turtles. Those are high heels. They have pretty little sparkles across the tops. I had ordered the cutest little vanity charm to go with them, only when I got it, it wasn't so little and just looked bulky whever I put it.
Leslie :one of these days i am going to learn how to do this
I hope so Leslie. Everyone should try it at least one time.
Leslie, we'd love it if you joined in with us. It's not all that hard. The hardest part is trying to control the creativity once you open the gates. That and finding new and creative ways to store all the stash.
By the way, I don't think I've ever told you, but I just love your avatar.
Leslie, I have to say this. This is my first time ever doing a crazy quilt. It is totally addictive! lol
Stephanie-your addition to Linny's block is really stunning. It's just so beautiful I can't even think of the right words to express myself properly. Diane is right. You have given her block a whole new look.

I'm sorry---I was getting my Leslies mixed up. "Leslie E" is a member of this group and has her own yahoo group called "Worldwide Crazy Quilters". I will be doing a round robin in that group starting Jan 1st. I will be submitting another 'under the sea' block and I will keep you all posted!
Thanks Linny, that pic was taken 46 years ago, when I was 4, now I gave my age away. LOL
Leslie :now I gave my age away. LOL
Still young enough to be my little sister. LOL
