I would like to show you the fabric I got yesterday from Evening Star Design. I love it and I could make something beautiful with it for my living room.
What's wrong with your sista's shoulder Lillie. I used to have shoulder problems.
Diane, your new fabric is really beautiful. I can't wait to see what you make for your living room!
Thanks Lillie---I was pleasantly surprised!! I love the warm colors and the ferns on the beautiful batik. I am expanding my already over stuffed stash. I guess I should start weeding some out !
Linny,
I do have the Roses book and the Ribbon Embroidery and Stumpwork (link) http://www.dicraft.co.za/blog/books/res/
Honestly, I have to say that I like the Ribbon Embroidery and Stumpwork one the best. There are all kinds of beautiful flowers and other things that can be used in CQ. The roses book is very nicely done too, but there is a lot of cutting petals individually and piecing them together. They're beautiful, but need to be done on a larger scale than what we would use most in CQ I think. Just my input on the two.
I think I purchased both on Amazon quite a bit cheaper than the website, but the link will let you read about it.
Diane,
Your fabric is lovely. It'll put some beauty in projects for your apt. Are you thinking of pillows, curtains, misc? I tried to post this morning that I am glad to hear you realized you had missed your meds and happy to hear you are feeling better already.
Lillie,
Sorry to hear about your sista's shoulder problems. I hope she does take some time to learn her machine and gets into a few projects. Even if they're small to start. I remember back in the day making little stuffed Christmas ornaments. Quick and loads of fun.
Your fabrics are beautiful, Diane. What are you going to make? I love the fern one. The colors are wonderful.

I don't know what I'll make yet. I may just use them in another crazy quilt. Pillows is a nice idea. I only got 1 yard each so I am limited.
Hi everyone,
Diane I love your fabrics, especially the Batik (but then I'm a sucker for batiks). I hope that you will share with us what you do with them.

WOW!!!! How did you add the white/cream sea weed? What is that thread? Is that special silk ribbon that you used for the seaweed? The green/blue ones?
The sea turtles are too cute. Very, very nice.
Robin---I absolutely love it! I love the anchor and the turtles and the seaweed. You did a beautiful job. I will be so excited to see my block!!!
