Stephanie---I love the work you did on Lillie's block.  I love the button cluster with the clock and the lace and flowers.  It's lovely!

OMG!!! I know we are supposed to hold our comments for the other thread, but I have to say at first glance I missed so much detail in this. It is as Diane said exquisite!!! I know pic's certainly can't do this justice and I think we will all be ogling over the detail and sparkle of it. I didn't notice at first glance how perfectly you matched the silk ribbon to the flowers and refined them with the loviliness of matching silk  and french knots. The tiny floral vines must have taken hours to wrap all around. They are so beautiful and delicate. The spider web and spider, trademark for good luck. (I want one). LOL

Did you paint your lace? Are those glass sequins? What sparkle! And the beaded flower that looks like extended petals and the details. I must stop, in awe of the time and detail you put into this.....

Stephanie, thank you.  You made me blush, lol.  The lace is hand dyed with Dye- na-flow.  Those are glass beads, not sequins.  It didn't take a picture very well.  Hard to get the dimension and sparkles.

Well,  one of the first things that caught my eye was the sparkle.   I love how delicate everything looks.   Linny, What thread did you use to the vines of the flowers and the spider web?  Their so fine looking.

Robin, there are several crystals on it in the beaded flower and I couldn't get that to show up.  The vines are overdyed Steph Francis cotton thread I got from Rose Rushbrooke.  She doesn sell it anymore, but I wish she did.  The flowers are first some overdyed DMC yellow detached button holes, filled with eterna silk and the topped off with YLI gold Sparkle.  (Yes, I went over those petals 3 times.)  The leaves are 2 mm silk ribbon I hand dyed.  The spider web is DMC metalic floss in a single strand.

Thanks for the info on the glass beads. I figured sequins have center holes, but wasn't sure and hadn't seen any of these lovelies before. You are doing a great job with your dying! I noticed ESD isn't carrying many colors of Steph Francis "silk" right now. I hope she's not going to quit carrying it. The rayon looks really pretty too.

I brought this picture back to front.

Diane,

We didn't get to see here where you updated.

Lillie,

You haven't added your pic to this either.

I think it's fun to see the progress as the blocks progress.
