Pat Badder:
I would like to ask for all to add my Grandson in your prayers. He is 20 years old and just found out that he has Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer stage 1a, and is now going trough radiation treatments for this. Please pray that treatment will help with this. Thank you all in advance. May God Bless and keep you all safe.

Heavenly Father I ask that you take your wonderful arms and put them around Pat Badder's grandson - As you know he is battling lyphoma cancer and needs your wonderful care to send this devil made disease from his body.  Give him the additional strength that he will need in the coming months to overcome this and help his family to be strong and supportive and let them know without asking what his needs will be.  Take the insecurity of his future out of their minds and fill them with peace from your serene prescience.  I ask for this humbly in the name of your son, Jesus Christ Amen

Thea and her husband will definitely be in my prayers. Hopefully her pain will get better, and her husband will get over whatever it is starting to get to him. Heavenly Father give  Thea and her husband the comfort they need to get well soon. I asked this in the name of your son  Jesus Christ. Amen

Thank you everyone for your prayers.  DH is on the mend - still a little snuffly but his fever broke sometime today while he was at work so he is feeling much better.

My R/A flare - up is easing - still very hard when I first get up and for hours afterwards but this afternoon I skyped with Barbara and got Debbie's border on her center block for RR and will have it in the mail on Monday - so that was good.  We then watched a movie and I realized that my nose was stuffing up and have a sore throat... so tomorrow will go to Walgreens and pick up the Zicam that I was going to get for DH but then he didn't need it - but I wll definitely need it - Took some tylenol for the headache I developed and have the Halls for the throat and stuffed nose.  I do not want to get any sicker then I am at this moment.  It does seem as though I get sick every January no matter how careful I am.

I have a small book called Paws for a moment with God and I opened it tonight and read this about prayer...

"Our Heavenly Father invites us to come to Him in prayer.  What a unique privilege we have been given!  Prayer is our opportunity to talk to God about anything that burdens our heart, whether our own troubles or the troubles of a friend or loved one.  doesn't God know about these things?  Of course He does, but he desires to hear us tell Him in our own words, and then give over the problem to Him.  Contact God, who already has contacted you with His love.  Take Him up on His invitation to pray.  Your Heavenly Father listens, and He cares."

I have been taught that we have our own agency which means that we make our own choices and although for me God knows what is happening in my life He does not know if I do not pray to him and tell Him what I want Him to do for me whether He should help me or not.  So I tell him in prayer all the time.

"Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.  Psalm 28:6

Hi, I am asking for prayers for a dear friend of mine.

My Mother's best friend since college has been a woman named Hilda Karraker.  I have called her Mama Hilda since I was a little girl - she is a fantastic lady.  She has been battling lung cancer for years now - and is 87 years young - her birthday is 2 days after my Mom's.  Anyway, she emails me every few days and yesterday I was thinking that I needed to email her and let her know how things were going here - I forget to keep her updated on Mom and she writes me a single line asking me WHAT IS UP!!!  So anyway, I got busy with my stuff and didn't get that email out.  Well, this morning I was woken by my phone and it was her daughter, Mama Hilda is in the hospital - she was found Wed unresponsive in her apartment and at first the news was not good at all but she is rallying and is expected to leave the hospital in the next few days for a care facility where she will stay for about 20 days - she truly needs to be in an assisted living facility and I am not sure why she isn't as she only weighs 56 lbs and has a very difficult time getting around... but then I don't know everything... but I ask you just to lift her up to the Lord's arms so that she can come back to us and have a quality of life that she wants.  I am told that she is in very good spirits and keeping everyone laughing around her.  I hope I am very much like her when I get to be her age.

PS... for those of you who smoke - Hilda is a very good reason to quit - her health issues all relate back to the bad habit of smoking - quit now while you can and get ahead on the recovery procedure.  I quit June 1st, 1996 and can not imagine what my health would be like if I was still smoking... it was fun while I did it but there comes a time when health is more important then that cigarette.

Prayers just sent upr for Mama Hilda.  I too smoked several years ago and am so glad I quit.  I have enough health problems and don't need to add tobacco related health issues as well!

thank you Angele, DH looked at my bruise today and said it looks as though he put a boot to my backside... teehee... I told him be careful I might just take pictures and blackmail you hun... he laughed - long story but the short side is that I bruise real easy and one year when I was having my yearly exam the doctor thought I was the victim of spusal abuse... Jay has never hit me nor would he - so is just a funny story in our lives.  I hurt though from this fall and am not ready for any more falls... getting old is no fun!  I want to be my age but have my 20 year old body - no pain back then...

Just wanted to let all you know that my grandson is done with radiation treatments for now. Doctor told them he did not see any signs of the cancer, but they will have to wait about 7 weeks and have the test done again to see where they stand and where they will go from there. The treatments did burn his Larnax. My son told me that the doctor said that was common. Now that radiation is done Larnax should start healing. I hope so. I want to thank you all for your prayers.

Thea I am so sorry to hear about your fall the other day. Please be careful and take care of yourselr. May God watch over and Bless you and your family.
