Oh Martha your block is really pretty. Thea is right, it will be a beautiful quilt!  Since you know how to change sizes of blocks and add this, take away that I will be coming to you and asking my quilt math questions! HAHA I get so confused and frustrated when it comes to the math part.

Thea- the magazine just arrived! I have not even looked though it yet, wanted to let you know.  I will get a check out to you in tomorrows mail. Thanks so much....off to look through the mag now :)

No rush Erin.  Have fun - I have made 18 Star blocks so far - was thinking at first one large quilt and now am thinking I might just make them the smaller but I think still bigger then the one in the magazine - I am thinking I will make quite a few more stars first - still thinking - the blocks are so easy to make though... I have to set them aside for a couple days though - have to get back to Christine's quilts - I am going to cut out month 8 and then I have to work on Kristie's border for her quilt - I am going to have to set myself a schedule - too many things on my plate at the moment...teehee... bad time for this as I never have energy in the winter and am just depleted...

Plus, my bum is hurting bad from my fall!  Live and learn and am wondering WHAT NEXT!!!

Sorry you fell Thea :(   With the joint pains I have in my hips and ankles I am scared too death I am going to fall and really hurt myself one day. I bought a cane a few months back for then I have a  lot of walking to do. When I go to the grocery I can use a cart to hold me up but without something I am scared.  I expected hair loss and nausea with the cancer treatments but not joint pain and menopause! lol  For only being 42 my body acts (and feels) like I'm a 100!

There are so many quilts in this magazine that I want to make! I want to make the X's & O's in pinks, cream and reds for my girly spare bedroom and I want to make valances too.. I have my antique sleigh bed, his grandma's vanity and one of my mom's dressers in that room; I think it would be so pretty.   Oh! I will have to go to the LQS and find some clearance Valentines fabric!   I will make it after I make a dashing stars and the round robin is over.

Well, I need to go help with the outside dogs. Weatherman is calling for snow and cold weather again.  Need to make sure they have plenty of hay in the boxes. Talk soon.

Thea I have been a bad follower... :( . I got so involved in quilting my friend's quilt and the the one for another friend that I forgot to follow this group.  I'm sorry you fell. When you mentioned coughing, ithat virus came through the computer, as I'm now coughing and sneezing...hehehe.  That is what I get for working with sick students... :-)

at least I have some sick days left in my bank. Now I will have to go buy the magazine tomorrow! Is anyone working from the on-line version? I'm curious as I'm not certain there will be any left when I go shopping.

I also have a question. Are the blocks you are making now part of the Christmas quilt or not? From what I read, I don't think so.

the stars look great ladies.

Martha,  that is a pretty block.

Thea,  I am sorry to hear that you fell.  You are having some bad luck.  I hope you are better soon!  I loved your tutorial and I learned some new things.  Now I just have to decide on fabrics!

THEA~ check is on it's way. I tried to email you but my inbox is SO full of QCA, QWU and facebook replies it keeps freezing up! :/ Oh well.

I didn't think about today being  the 1st; , town was a mess! Snow+checks+cold+school delays= BLAH!  I have to go town at 5 PM for a birthday party, if it wasn't "Cupcake's " birthday I probably wouldn't go, but i can't miss the grand daughters birthday party..lol  I bought enough fabric today to keep me busy (and inside if I want) till spring :)   Hope you're feeling better today.

I plan to start making stars tomorrow. I hope to get a couple a day done, we will see.  So cool that you got an autographed copy Barbara!   Will be checking often to see everyone's blocks/progress.

Have a great weekend!

I still have to look through my stuff. But I might just go to my LQS tomorrow as they have a Super Bowl sale for all the football widows... I saw a few things I would like to use.
