Barbara, I haven't made one yet but have too before next Friday. Last month I started the Women's Ministry at church. We have adopted the shelter for battered women and will be making pillowcases to give. Thanks Thea

Barbara did an awesome job.  It was difficult trying to explain things to her today - I am so happy that she was able to understand - I am asking - is there something I should change in the tutorial that might make it easier.  I am so experienced at making them that I thought the tutorial was self-explanatory but Barbara had problems so let me know all you pillowcase makers out ther how I can change it to make it easy for beginners to follow.

Barbara, you did a very nice job on the pillowcase. But we all know you can do pretty much anything when it comes to quilting.   Thea was a good teacher explaining what had to be done as you have a beautiful result.

These are so nice. I have a friend who is big into a program that sends these over to troops in any branch. It depends who as requested and all are sent to different places. It can be active troops, mash units, just about anywhere our military are. I started in Dec with this and I am trying to send some every month. Last month I got sick and missed the mail date. So I kept them back and have added few more.

I had never thought of making them to go with quilts. When I told DH about that he said that would be great way to just store a set of sheets even...I think that means when he finds the fabric he wants I will need to make some for him. I have to say usually he is good about fabric shopping....I guess he figured if you can't beat her join her its cheaper *giggles* I am getting him trained.

I make mine like this tube methed. I have a friend she is really big into this and sends every month. She sends me the address with the info. Do you have FB? If so they have a page I'm just not sure how much I can post here. I don't mind if it's ok to post the facebook page so whoever would like can send. You have to tell them how many you will send each month because the amount and where are different each month. The reason is that way they don't get overloaded because these do not go to a private home. You can also send other stuff to the troops as well its not just limited to pillowcases. They post a list on the page as well of the extra items. The pillowcases are to give them a touch of home in the barracks or hospitals. You do not have to send each month just when you have some. They also post dates for shipments to be made so they all should arrive together.

Can I post thier faebook page here??
