I just realized I forgot the snow on Mt Baker! Darn it. Marilyn, the blocks are not in the mail!!! I'll try to get the snow on tomorrow or Wed morning then send them.

Asking a quilter to mend something is like asking Picasso to paint your garage.

Fantastic blocks Laura.  I love the materials, the colours are fantastic.

LOL I forgot to give you all my last name.  It is Book....yes I get all the jokes about it and being a Library technician.  Before I met my DH I was a bookkeeper so it seems I was destined to deal with books in one form or another.

Cool blocks, Laura, especially the Mt. Baker one. I always hope it's a clear day when I'm heading home from the Coast so I can see Mt. Baker.

Got my block shipped out today, Marilyn. Unfortunately, could only get one done due to time constraints (Mom has health issues, working :(, and I don't dare sew during Stanley Cup Finals when the Canucks are playing - not fun to sew through a finger. Been there, did that :( LOL)

As Armstrong is well known for cheese, how better to represent it than Mr. Mouse enjoying some :)

Laura, I just received your blocks today.  Man the pictures don't do them justice.  They are absolutely beautiful.

Pat love the mouse, can't wait to get it.

Pat, your block came today,  It is wonderful.  I have some material to do up 4 maple leaves for the corners.  The quilt is now only 3blocks square so it will be small.  I will do a couple of layouts with and without sashing to see what you guys like.  I hope to get it posted by the end of the weekend.

If there is anyone else who wishes to get a block in let me know.

Here is the layout so far, there is one more person who may do a block and if she does (she will let me know tomorrow) I will come up with two more to put a second middle row in. I am doing a 2 inch sashing and maybe cornerston red blocks  with a red edgeing.  the cornerstones will see how much time I have.

Well guys I have the three rows together and was going to finish putting it all together but ya know what....it is not enough to make it worth the trip to Ottawa.  without borders it is not even 36" square.  I can put it together as is but not take it to Ottawa, or I can wait and see how many more squares I can accumulate from across the country.  As you did the work Pat and Laura the choice is yours.

Marilyn, the quilt looks awesome! You did a super job on the "Alexander Graham Bell" block, and the maple leaf blocks just are perfect.

I agree with you about 36" square not being enough to warrant a trip to Ottawa. I think we should see if we can get more blocks made from across the country. Time permitting (sewing still not allowed during playoff games LOL) I hope I can get at least one more block to you - I've got all sorts of ideas bouncing through my brain. Alas! too many ideas, too little time. LOL

Winning the 6/49 would also help with the lack of time issue as well
