Here is Nana's June Scrappy Quilt project finished! This is the second of the two lap quilts I made from this project. This one has paper-pieced hearts scattered around the top. For the binding, I used several pieces of fabric that were also used in the 9-patch blocks to give the binding a 'scrappy look'. I inset a row of the 9-patch blocks on the back so the backing fabric would be wide enough. Used simple straight-line quilting, following the diagonal pattern, using a variated thread on both the front and the back. Just outlined the hearts with SND. I love how this turned out!
