Will we be starting a new scrappy project anytime soon?
Jean
I will work on a new scrappy project soon. I just have so much going on right now that I can't add another project. If anyone has a project that they would like to lead during the wait please feel free to do so. Just message me with your ideas and we will get you set up.

Okay, thanks. I understand. I had really enjoyed June and July's.
Jean,
Bonnie Hunter is doing a leader/ender challenge that might be something you'll like. She uses 1.5 inch strips to make bow tie blocks. If a few people do this you might even be able to swap blocks.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
This very scrappy project crossed my path this morning... thought I'd share

Bonnie Hunter's new mystery quilt has been announced. It's called "Easy Street". I hope the name describes the process.

She makes it sound like it will not be not as intense as the past 2 years.
I'm hoping to make this although I may get behind because I have company coming for Christmas. I'll at least save all the instructions.
Oh I might do this one. I SWORE I would never do another Bonnie Hunter. I loved the Orca Bay but it was way too intense. I think I even have the perfect fabrics but I will make it smaller or make it into two lap quilts. That's what I did with Orca Bay.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Kris, she says no strips this time. Hope it will be easier, I am planning to do this one also.

What colors are you gals thinking? I'm still tossing around some possible color combos.
I haven't thought about colours yet. For now I'll probably just collect the steps as I still have Orca Bay to work on (those darn string blocks are killing me).

After thinking I had the perfect fabrics, I'm now not so sure. I'm thinking of maybe doing a 30's theme, something sweet and old fashioned. But I don't want to buy fabric (well, not that I don't WANT to, but........). <sigh> If I go with 30's fabric that would mean a trip to the quilt shop and I PROMISHED myself I would use from my stash.
Below was my original choice, but I'm now leaning away from using these.
Judy, FWIW, I like your original fabric choices!
I like your fabrics Judy.
I'm going to try to work from my stash as well. I have a bunch of FQs and half yard cuts that might work.
