Got my June scrappy put together and framing border on.  I am also working on a CQ for a graduation gift.  When I got the scrappy together I realized that it would have been perfect for the young lady I am making the CQ for.

Solution is that I am adding rows to the top and bottom only to make it the same size as the CQ and will use as the back.  This will make it reversible and I know that she will appreciate all the fabrics which went into this project.

Put both "tops" together today and just need to add additional borders to scrappy so that they can go together.  Will take a picture when it is finished.

I have lots going on the next couple days but should be able to sew Saturday.  Can't wait to have this behind me.

Darlene,

What a wonderful idea.  I still haven't gotten to my borders.

Everyone's quilt is beautiful.  I love all the borders and the alternate settings.  Great job everyone.

I still need to finish mine up.  I have to square up my 9 patches and stitch them up.  The squaring up is what I am trying to avoid...I struggle with that part.

I got back from vacation this week and finally finished the border on my June Scrappy.   I also worked on the July quilt, have the first cut done and re-sewn on step 1.  Hopefully I can get a better picture after it's quilted.

Barbara,

What a really lovely border on your quilt!!  The little bit of solid purple really makes a nice frame and pulls out the purples in the 'scraps'. The double row of squares is wonderful!   May have to borrow your border idea for my next one!
