Judy T--good idea putting the sashing between your blocks!
Dardar-looking good. I like what you've done.
Jacy-your blocks are great! like the the green too. You grey is very effective. I makes the centers of your blocks pop.
Quilting with 3 dogs in Massachusetts
Hey Ladies,
I didn't have time to do this quilt with you, but I've been following along and reading/saving all the clues as they come up in hopes that I can get to it soon. However, I haven't been able to find the reveal / final instructions. The last step I can see on quiltville is Step 6. She says in Step 6 that Step 7 would go live on New Year's Eve, but I haven't been able to find it. Can someone let me know where the Step 7 is?
Thanks in advance!
Carolyn, click on the Easy street tab to find it.

Thank you Ma'am! I'm loving seeing everyone's pictures, btw. :)
OK ladies,
here's my top. This thing is huge, as you can see. My design wall is sorely lacking.
Still thinking on whether or not to add the borders. It's pretty hard to move this thing around already.
Oh Kris, I love it! Your colors are wonderful, I like them more than Bonnie's.
Thanks Jacy.
Kris--your quilt is beautiful!! The colors you picked work so well. Great job!!
Wow, lots of movement. Love the colors.
Kris it's wonderful! Great job!
Thanks Judy and Jean.
Thanks Helen. I missed your post earlier.
I am glad to have this group to do the quilt with. It is a really satisfying experience and everyone's quilts are beautiful (as one would expect).
Also thanks for the nice comments on my progress so far.
Question for anyone.
I want to make the back for the quilt with some left over scraps. My question: I ordered a piece of quilt backing that is a dark purple to go with the scraps. This fabric seems extra stiff. I do not usually prewash fabrics and did not prewash any of the fabrics for the top. I am kind of worried about this fabric, it's stiffness and the dark color, but not sure it I should prewash, will it cause a problem when the quilt is done? Will parts shrink differently once it is together?.
I don't think the shrinkage will be too bad depending on how close your quilting stitches are. However, if you're not 100% comfortable with this fabric, I suggest washing it first to see how it does on its own. You don't want to ruin your hard work.
Using a mixture of washed and unwashed fabrics won't hurt anything.
