Okay, I'll bite. Here are my color choices and my finished step one. This is my first Bonnie Hunter MQ and I'm really looking forward to trying to keep up. Seems there are already a lot of pieces. I just hope that her definition of easy and mine are the same.
I posted this in the other thread but here are my fabrics:
I'm using purple for green, brown for turquoise, green for purple and orange for grey.
Nice work Mimi.
Looking at Step 1 sent me scurrying off to store to find a new background. I was going to use the white dots on white below but when I saw the blocks it was clear that wasn't a good plan. Instead I found this lavender with white dots which will be my "grey" fabric. I think it will work well with my 1930s fabrics. I'm about 1/2 done with the blocks. They do go quickly since they are strip pieced.

Love your colors, Kris! Bright and cheery!
Kris, your fabrics are gorgeous!

Thanks Judy x 2.

Judy I like your fabrics.
I have all my strips sewn. I'm about to start making 4-patch units. If I don't get called in too much i should get most of it done by tomorrow.
I am hoping the same as you Mimi. Did you use all of your grey when you cut your 2 inch strips for these four patches. By the way love our fabrics. I am amazed by your black on white fabrics.
Mimi,
I am hoping the same as you. Did you use the entire 2 yards of the gray for the 2 inch strips. I am starting to cut my fabrics and not sure how much to cut to get started. By the way love your fabrics.

It's looking really good Judy. I really like the lavender with your '30s fabrics.

No I didn't. I cut 20 gray strips and matched them with 20 white w/black strips. Some of the whites were only 18 inches long so I cut the gray strip in half and matched the other half with another shorter white strip. I guess I have about a yard left of the gray. Can't wait to see your progress.
Kris:Nice work Mimi.
Somehow I missed this post. Thanks for the encouragement Kris.
I finished the 4 patch blocks. I didn't expect to do them until tomorrow but they went quickly. Plus, I'm only doing a lap quilt size. I changed the background (gray/constant) to a gray/pink on white. I hope I don't regret it.
