BB-looking good-the teal sets the scraps off really nice. I think you can use almost any color for this. Hope so,cause the one I'm ready to put together is with bright orange - should I use black sashes and call it a Halloween quilt? Anyway, I enjoy seeing all the ones everyone is doing, love stripping, don't we?
Belfrybat:I started another one with teal instead of muslin, and this time I'm going to put it together in the diamond pattern with sashing.
I love it. Nicely done.
I like this pattern and colors. I did enjoy doing this will try another soon.
Ready for a great laugh on Friday to start off your weekend with a spash? Here goes....here's my picture of the Diamond Strings scrappy quilt! Only......it's not the Diamond Strings. Got in a hurry and grabbed the pattern off the internet to take on a road trip so I could read the instruction. Yep, grabbed the wrong pattern. Never figured it out until I started seeing pictures and figured out....that's not the pattern I did. So....my Diamond Strings.
It actually came out great and I am very please with it. Hope you enjoyed my senior citizen (I'm only 53) bo-bo.
Since you are soooo much older than me (I turn 53 in one week), I will forgive you your Senior Moment. Anyway, your quilt is beautiful, and hey, it's diamonds... and strings... so it's close enough!. What a great job!
Wow, I really like this. I'll just add it to my list of patterns I have to try.
This is great looking, love your quilting too.

Love your "senior moment". It IS diamonds and it IS strings - - as far as being a senior citizen - - - - - you are only 2 yrs older than my oldest daughter! I love your quilting - - wish I could do half as well. I also need to use this pattern. I have a drawer full of 2 1/2" strips that would be perfect for it.

Penny, I'm glad you went ahead and made this one, looks good! It's another one on my Bonnie to-do list (think all of them are there, to tell the truth!) Love her patterns!
Penny,
This is a beauty.

Thanks for all your comments on my "senior moment" quilt. It is now sitting in my living room to be enjoyed during the next cold front. If you need a good scrappy, this is a great one to try.
Caryl: I haven't done a string quilt for some time, but have been working with other scrappy tops. Here's a sample: Caryl in Buda,TX

This diamond string has been perched on my design wall for a several of weeks. But I need the wall for MQ7, so today I put the pieces of this quilt together. Thanks Caryl for the idea of a scrappy log cabin with a central focus panel! I think it needs another border or two but at least now it is in one piece and I can have my design wall back!!
