I was wondering if using a polyester batting would help with all the seam bumps? Maybe make it a little puffier?  I haven't used any in years. Any thoughts on that ?

Finally decided what to do with my scrappy blocks and this is what the top looks like.  Still have to make borders and quilt it.  (I typed in the message and then uploaded pictue, don't know why the words jumped to the bottom?)  Thanks for looking!

Helen!

Beautiful quilt!

Love the stars and sashing!  They really organize and calm the scrappy blocks.  It's really lovely!  What a great idea!

WOW!!! So pretty!!! It's hard to believe it is the same start as mine!!! I really need to start thinking outside the box :/

Sheila:

Here is my scrappy; I call it purple wildflowers because of the daisies around the borders and the wonky flower pantograph I designed for the body of the quilt.  The beauty of these scrappy quilts is that any color can be used for sashings and borders, and I used purple only because it was the color my hand landed on when I closed my eyes and jabbed at my stash!  Half of the blocks I left au natural, and the other half were chopped up on the diagonal and a border added to them.  Very simple and I am pleased with the result.

Everyone's quilts are so pretty...mine are just "OK". Next time we do a scrappy I think I will try something different and unexpected...let go of the fear of messing it up. I am almost finished with Jacob's wedding quilt and that will mean all of my UFO's are done!! I will be able to start a bunch more next week *evil grin*

Hope everyone is enjoying the last weekend of summer..
