Yours came out really wonderful! I like your inside border and outside border.
Nana, your quilt is beautiful. Mine is no where close o looking this good. But it was a god learning experience.
Wow. It didn't expect to finish today it but got my July scrappy top done! Amazing what can be done while waiting for the appliance repairman. Not only do I have a new garbage disposal and a new electrical switch, I also have a completed July Scrappy top completed. :-) Now that is a good day!
I wanted to make it twin size. I hunted around in my stash for something a young boy might like and found this material. I'd never figured out what to do with it. It was 4 repetitions of a linear pattern across the width of the fabric. I found it at a discount fabric store years ago-- I figure if it has been in the stash over 3 years it almost qualifies as a "scrap." The linear pattern was perfect for the borders on this quilt.
This was fun! Thanks Nana!

WTG Judy, I like that you have multiple looking borders with out having to sew so many.
I finished an UFO today. It is the first quilt top I made which was March 2011. I love this quilt and I am glad that finally quilted it. So here is the pic, tell me what you all think???

I love the way your top turned out. I think it is so neat to look at scrappy quilts and see which color seems to dominate. I see lots of green in yours. You must have made lots of quilts with green. I too use alot of green and lots of purples in my quilts.

Beautiful quilt. I love bargello quilts but it is a technique I still haven't tried.
Very pretty Donna.
Thank you Nana, A lot of people told me that I was crazy to do this for my first quilt. But it was not as difficult as I thought it would be.
Judy, your quilt came out really great. I cut mine again last night and think this will be okay. Will need to sew it together again tonight and see though. Donna, your quilt is pretty. Have not tried this pattern yet.
Nice bargello, Donna! They are fun to make--they do look hard but really aren't.
Thanks for all the great comments about my quilt.
Nana-- I do have a lot of greens in this quilt.. I went through my color sorted boxes of fabric and took out the smallest pieces and left over strips--I did the green box last so they were at the top of the bag of scraps!! :-) But I do like using green in my quilts.
Wow, Judy! Great job! I wish mine looked as nice. But I think I have too many large pieces for it to work out well. Maybe if I just cut it up one more time...I was thinking of using the DNP concept for another set of cuts.
Donna--beautiful quilt! I'm terrified of that pattern, although I would like to make one some day.
