MaryAnn, I got all my scrap squares cut last night and bought the background fabric and my MQ6 border fabrics this morning .  They are washed and ready to cut!!   Hopefully I'll finish both this long weekend.

Hello everyone,

My name is Renee and I am from Philadelphia, PA. I am single, no children. I work full time and I have been sewing for about 6 yrs. I was introduced to quilting about 2 yrs ago through a friend who does charity quilts for Quilts For Kids, and I love it. I don't have much time to so my sewing is basically restricted to weekends.

I am not sure I will be able to participate in the scrappy quilt as I don't have enough scraps and I have 3 other quilts I am trying to work on at the moment. I will in the mean time enjoy watching everyone else's mysteries evolve.

Renee, Welcome and where in Philly are you located.  I live in the NW suburbs.  I work too and only have weekend time, except during the summer months.  Maybe we could get together some time????

Hi Mimi,

I live right on the border of Cheltenham, PA aka Melrose Park.

Do the two adorable little people belong to you? How old are they?

A get together would be nice. I don't have very many friends that are into quilting. My quilting mentor and quilt buddy moved to Ariz last year we still keep in touch via email but it is not the same.

Oh we live fairly close to each other.  I'll send you a personal message and we can talk more about my absolutely beautiful grandchildren in more detail.  LOL

HI, i just finished MQ6 top and still have a huge bin of bits and peices and no idea what to do with them so I figured I would see if I could do a scrappy quilt.

This will be my first scrappy and I have been digging through fabrics to come up with a nice variety.  I think I will have enough for a few quilts at the rate I am cutting 2 1/2" squares.  This will be my third mystery quilt and am loving the suprise at the end!

I have been quilting for about 8 years.  Retired a little over a year ago and finally have the time to get serious with quilting!  I divide my time with my granddaughters, quilting and reading.
