First thanks for the welcome Nana. I have been reading everyone's introduction so thought I would write a little bit about myself. I'm a mother, sister, wife and grandmother. I teach elementary school in southeastern PA near Philly. Only have about 2 years until retirement. My mom taught me to sew when I was about 10. I love all kinds of needlework. My three passions are counted cross stitch, knitting or crocheting, and quilting. I've been quilting for about 8 years. My friend at work got me hooked. I used to sew clothes for my kids as they were growing up. I also made curtains, and home decorating kinds of things. So I have those scraps. Then I have the 8 years of scraps from my quilts. And when my mom passed I got a lot of her scraps. So if anyone is in need of scraps just let me know. I could probably share enough for your entire quilt and then some. LOL Looking forward to the wonderful projects everyone will be doing. Thanks for taking this on again, Nana.
Welcome Judy EE. Hope you enjoy your time with us.
Welcome Zsofia.
Nana: Welcome Zsofia.
Thanks for the welcome. Here is a little bit about me. I grew up in Budapest, Hungary. I moved to the US 10 years ago. I live in Pittsburgh Pa. with my DH and 2 sons. I started quilting about 2 years ago and love it. I have lots of scraps... I'm ready for an another "mystery". I'm also working on MQ6 and the Harry Potter quilt (paper piecing group).

Welcome Gini. I thought you were already a member.
Thanks for the welcome!! I hail from Ontario, Canada. My first online quilting experience is the MQ6. Mine is a scappy quilt with thought out color scheme...pinks, browns, rose, cream, light blue. I ordered the beautiful Bittersweet but didn't have the confidence to use it. So I decided to use up scraps for a 'first run'. I do this with all courses I take!! This scrappy project will be perfect as when it is done...I won't have to make the 'good copy'! I hope you do wait a bit to get started as it's all I can do to keep up with MQ6. That said, I am so thrilled to join this group as I was already worried about who and what would fill my MQ time. Now I must Go Quilt!!!!
Welcome Scrappy Susan. Hope you enjoy your time with us.
Hi All! Since I have a few minutes, I'll introduce myself. Maybe it will help me keep everyone straight if I learn just a few at a time :)
I'm Susie & live in a western 'burb of Chicago. I'm originally from Minneapolis. I'm a single mom of 2 wonderful kids, the youngest just finished his freshman year in college. I'm also the very proud Granny of 2 of the cutest, sweetest little girls, Lexi & Callie (and yes, I'm very biased). I have 2 furbabies as well. Max can be seen in my quilt pix, he thinks they all belong to him. Quizzy spends her time hiding or chastising those in the house.
I've been sewing for 35 years, and quilting for about 10. Of course, my first MANY quilts were very rough. I was self-taught (if you can call it learning) and didn't know how to make my seams all line up. Through the tuteledge of a couple dear friends, I have gotten much better. I'm really good at straight squares/strips, but not so great at triangles. Besides MQ6, I'm also doing 2 more quilts that are almost all triangles because I want to learn how to do them properly so they line up.

I too am self taught. Have fun with your triangles. Sometimes mine come out great other times not so much....LOL
