I just found this site and liked the BOM workshop Jodie's Sampler. I discovered that if you make the Flying Geese and Friendship Star blocks 9" the measurements won't work out with the other blocks at 12". You would need to make all the blocks measure 9" in order for the rows to fit correctly. Did I miss that info in the original posts? I had a hard time finding all the posts that made up the entire quilt also.

I worked on the BOM all day and I don't know if I will ever get this finished. I have the hour glass and two friendship stars all sewn together. I need to make 2 more FS's and I don't know if I have enough fabric left. Then tomorrow do the sandwiching and the back for QAYG if I can remember how I did it. Then the last borders. It's huge! I hope I can get it done in time for Christmas. My GF wants it even though there are boo boos in it.

Congratulations! Your quilt came out wonderful. It looks real nice with your rug,too. lol Now I'm real anxious to get mine finished. I have a Downy Kid quilt to finish and then back to the BOM. I've got the hour glass blocks sewn together so next the friendship squares and finish that section. It is a large quilt, huh? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Kris. I finally got my photo into media, after several tries. (I now know how to delete one when I get it wrong!) Someone had said the other day that after the changes, the media pictures would be added the same way as in the posts, but apparently that wasn't so. So again, thank you for your help - you are so good!

I really like your quilt. Great choice of colours. Here's a tutorial for adding photos to media. This one came from QCA Liz back in June.

Click on the Media link to the right:

Click on the Upload link. NOTE: If you have not yet joined the applique group yet, do that first and the upload link will appear. Then click on the Specify file/URL button to browse for you image.

Add your title, any comments and click Save. That's it

One more thing - I tried two different ways to get a picture in the media, and failed - how was that supposed to be now?

OK - then we took it outside to take one last picture-Look! it's almost big enough to cover the new truck! Ok, last post and last time talking about this one--it's on the bed now. Will wait to see all the others getting done.

Ladies, as promised - my finished BOM - I like saying that! And looks better on the bed than the old one, have to say. Will be nice and warm when the cold really gets here - been 30' once.

First, here is a photo of the old quilt that has been our winter mainstay for several years. This is the one I made in Texas that was too heavy to use there, but handy for AR winters!

I've been working feverishly on the hand-appliques and finally have them finished on one side of the quilt. Don't know why I'm so slow at it. The only thing other than that I have to do is quilting in the last border. I really like the way this project is looking, but have no idea where it's going to go--much bigger than I expected it to finish.
