So this is my first BOM and i have only been teaching myself to quilt since around thanksgiving 2012. I started with this one because i have been working on a churn dash quilt so i knew how to make this block.
the materials - the plaid was something i found in my moms church's craft groups closet, they are retiring this year so all the fabric is mine, there was maybe 6 yard of it so i thought it would be perfect for this project. I also had a fat quarter of the yellow, but today i did go and buy some more coordinating fabric in both the blue and more of the yellow as well as some fat quarters in black and white...
so now time to try the bees and fields block...
